Anime Banzai, Halloween, and just a bit about Thanksgiving.

It's been about month since Anime Banzai but I never blogged about because as soon as we got back little Eloise got super sick. It was super scary and to top it all off I got pretty sick. Jordan had to play nurse maid to us. He is a sweet, wonderful husband.
Thankfully Eloise is no longer sick and is doing so much better! But it has left me a little more cautious with her. Now that she is feeling better, and the convention is out of the way and I don't have to work on merchandise for a while, I feel as if I must bring my blog up to date with everything that has been going on.

Anime Banzai was pretty fun. Eloise got to experience her first con and I'm pretty sure is is famous now due to her amazingly adorableness. Okay, it was really because she was dressed as the Lumpy Space Princess from Adventure Time. She looked so cute and tolerated her costume pretty well.

Halloween there were a lot of firsts. It was Eloise's first Halloween, our first Halloween with a baby, Eloise's first time being really sick, and our first Halloween in our OWN HOUSE!!! Oh, Eloise also started getting her first tooth! We didn't dress up or do anything really. We just stayed in, passed out candy, and tended to our sick little one.

Eloise turned 6 months on Thanksgiving. She also started working on her second tooth. We were able to spend the holiday with Jordan's family and my family. I just love spending time with family and everyone adores Eloise. (Honestly, how could you not? She is a beautiful baby.) I also love all the great food we get to eat on Thanksgiving. We did nothing but stuff ourselves.

Now that it is December and we our on to Christmas and a new year.
Hopefully I can be a little more diligent about updating my blog!

Eloise the clever.

This little girl is growing up so fast and learning so much in such in short amounts of time! She has recently started rolling over. But it wasn't like she kept trying until she figured it out, it was more like one day she just decided that she was going o roll over, and she did!
She is so much fun and I'm certain that she is the most clever baby there is. I know I'm partial, but she is my baby after all!

Long time, new home.

Sorry for being neglectful and not updating like I should -  but we have been very busy over here!
Jordan and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary. We did so by moving into our new place and it's our first home so it's all very exciting and new and wonderful! What a great way to celebrate 4 years of marriage by moving into a new home!
We are still settling into our new house but it already feels like home!

Here are a few pictures of our home, sweet home.

From top to bottom: kitchen, living room, master bedroom, Eloise's room (under construction), my sewing/craft/art room (also under construction). Forgive the boxes and mess in most rooms - they are all actually under construction! Once everything is set up and beautiful I will share updated pictures!

The one time I was pregnant.

Remember when I was pregnant? I do. And it is something I am in no hurry to do again. Oh there will surely be more little Rasmussen babies in the future - but I need a long break from pregnancy, and so does my husband.
But being pregnant was so worth it and it wasn't all bad. I did get some wonderful maternity photos courtesy of my sister-in-law!
Here are some of my favorites:

Can you believe that it's little Eloise that was in that belly? I can't and I was the one carrying her for nine months!
It's pretty amazing if you ask me.

Baby days.

I have been busy getting the hang of being a new mommy and enjoying every minute of it! I even enjoy the middle of the night feedings and the soiled diapers.
Okay - that stuff can be less than enjoyable but let's be honest, babies don't stay babies.
I love my little Eloise and I just can't get enough of her.
She is already over a month old and is getting chubby. Chubby babies are the best for snuggling and Eloise is no exception. She always wants to be held so I get my fill of snuggling and kissing her chubby baby cheeks.
Now here is a mass of photos of my beautiful baby because I really can't get enough and I take pictures of her all day long.

She is too cute!

Baby Must-Haves

Being a new mom I am in need of anything that will help make life for my baby and the care of my baby a little bit easier. Believe me, I'm learning a lot!
Here is a list of items I have found to be essential in the care of my wee baby.

Taylorsville Dayzz 2012

Jordan and I recently hit the 8 year anniversary of our first date mark. It's kind of a big deal since I fell in love with him and married him four years later.
Unfortunately, this year I celebrated without Jordan since he was is Texas for business. He was very missed, but I wasn't going to let that stop me.
I went to Taylorsville Dayzz (that was where we went on our first date 8 years ago) with my family and took Eloise. She was an outstanding baby - as long as her diaper was clean and her belly was full. She pretty much slept during the fireworks. But it probably helped that I covered her ears the whole time. I'm a little bit paranoid about the loud noises.

The firework display is always awesome!

First Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my husband!
This is Jordan's first Father's Day being a father. As a new dad, and as you see, it can wear him out so. But he loves his little girl and is doing such a such and outstanding job at being her father.
I love you Jordan! I'm so blessed to have you as my husband and the father to our child!
